The IFF was excited to launch the first ever World Virtual Freestyle Floorball Cup (WVFFC) 2020. This is a competition where every floorballer can take part by showing their best tricks or skills within a certain time-limit. The competition is organised virtually and the winners were crowned based on social media voting.
The aim of this new competition format was to activate floorball players around the world and organise events utilising new virtual concepts, especially now during the COVID-19 times. In addition, this event format gives the possibility for players from countries with no national teams as well as young floorballers, to participate in an official IFF Event.
Facebook & Instagram voting
The IFF has decided to divide the contestants into two different categories based in age, the U16 category and the Adult category. The videos with most combined IG & FB likes per category will win. The IFF Facebook & Instagram voting will take place until 11th of November (at midnight CET) and the IFF announced the 1st World Virtual Freestyle Floorball Cup champions on the 12th of November.
