Women’s World Floorball Championships 2023 Qualifications will be organised in four different countries. The AOFC group will play their qualifications in Chonburi, Thailand from 31st January to 5th February. Australia, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Philippines and Thailand.
Australia
Describe your team, and what we should expect from your team during WFCQ 2023?
As in the past, Team Australia is a mix of veteran players and young prospects who recently represented Australia in the U19 WFC. After 3 years without any international competition, the Team is delighted to step back on the international stage. We will be as prepared as possible and try to continue where we left off in 2019.

Zoe Shanahan, very skilled player with great anticipation and feel for the game.

Blaise Hodges, role model on and off the court in whatever she does.

Isabel Newland, always finds good solutions with the ball and makes the right plays.

Yasmin Skene, demonstrates that you can be a gritty player and still respect all of the values of #FairFloorball. And she is the fair(y)est player in the team.
Japan
Describe your team, and what we should expect from your team during WFCQ 2023?
Japan is a young team this time. There are some experiences players who support the young players – together they want to create good results in the tournament.

Yui Goto, she has been leading Japan for many years

Korea
Describe your team, and what we should expect from your team during WFCQ 2023?
After two years Covid-19, many things have changed in Korea. Several players stopped playing- hence, we have selected many new players from some different cities and about two thirds of the players are new, Players are young and not much experienced. We will try to develop this team for the future!

Mi Lee – she is the youngest in the team. But she is fast and she knows how to shoot! She can be one of best players in the future!
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
Nam Hyung Kim – she is the captain of the team and she is a PE teacher in the middle school. She played about ten years in National team. She makes players laugh always and players follow her. She is good player and good leader in the team.
Most skilful player?
Ran Kim – she is the fastest runner in the team and also has skills and power.
Which player demonstrates #FairFloorball the best?
Ji Yul Maeng – she is an one of the leader in the team. She always play clean and kind to all players!
New Zealand
Describe your team, and what we should expect from your team during WFCQ 2023?
A mix of experience and youth, this New Zealand team aims to combine solid play from our stalwarts with spark from new players to the team. The team will bring hard work, passion and team spirit to the WFCQ.

Sophie Lee-Wutzler,she may not be a rookie in th team but at 19 she’s one of the team’s younger players. Coming off a strong performance at the U19 women’s world Championships Sophie has all the skills to make her mark on the top stage.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
Georgia Kibblewhite, returning as Captain Georgia motivates her teammates on and off the court with a positive attitude, a cool head and strong play in defence
Most skilful player?
Sophie Scott, she has all the moves in her bag. Stick skills, a wicked drag shot, can score one timers from anywhere and when she is not scoring goals she is setting up her team mates.

Maria Hegarty, not just a rock in goal, Maria plays and operates with the highest integrity, looking out for team mates, opponents and everyone else involved in Floorball
Philippines
Describe your team, and what we should expect from your team during WFCQ 2023?
The Philippines comes with a fairly untested team. However, most of them were successful during the last AOFC Cup in Singapore. The team is characterized by strong defense and quick transitions. They are tactically strong and have a great influence from Swedish floorball. The goal is of course to take one of the two tockets to WFC in Singapore.

Thailand
Describe your team, and what we should expect from your team during WFCQ 2023?
With one previous oppportunity to play competitively at the international level since the pandemic, this team is excited to play at the WFCQ 2023. We have a mixture of players based in Wangmuang Floorball camp, and a few in europe. We expect some tough competition with raised level of floorball in the region, but we hope we can get some good results and qualify.
