The transfer window activity continues! As more transfers have been confirmed, we take a look at another group of big international moves for the 2022/23 season including Slovak national team players Samuel Virga and Laura Chupekova and Czech U19 Bronze medallist from 2020, Veronika Kopecka.
Slovak national team player Samuel Virga takes the step up to the top Czech league and FbS Bohemians from Slovak side SK1 FBC Trencin. Samuel Virga was part of the 2020 WFC Slovakia squad, that achieved 7th place. He was also part of the recent Slovak squad that won the WFCQ 2022 EUR3 tournament in Celano, Italy qualifying for the 2022 WFC in Switzerland and beating 3rd ranked Czech Republic in the EUR3 final. Virga also represented Slovakia at the 2019 and 2021 men’s U19 World Championships.

Šimon Šmajda was a teammate of Samuel Virga at the Men’s U19 World Championships with Slovakia and also makes the move from Slovakia to the top Czech league. He joins Chodov from TK Hargasova Zahorska Bystrica.

Laura Chupekova has competed for Slovakia at two previous Women’s World Championships in 2019 and 2021 and helped achieved 6th position at both of these championships. Laura moves from Slovak side MKSS Kysycke Nove Mesto to Czech Superliga side FBC Ostrava and will look to further develop in one of the best Women’s leagues in world floorball.

Veronika Kopecka is a bronze medalist with the Czech U19 team from the U19 WFC in 2020. She moves from Czech Superliga side Tatran Střešovice to premium Swiss NLA side Kloten Dietlikon Jets, who have jus come off a treble trophy winning season in 2021/22!

German under 19 goalkeeper Franziska Barner makes the step up from FC Stern Munchen in Germany to Swiss side UHC Tigers Harkingen-Trimbach, looking to further develop her skills as a goalkeeper in one of the elite floorball countries. 18 year old Franziska has been selected for Germany in the upcoming Women’s U19 WFC in Poland this August and will be looking to make a good impression for her country.
