The Finnish Floorball Federation has informed today that they will apply to postpone the Men’s World Floorball Championships 2020 with one year.

The International Floorball Federation Central Board (CB) will discuss the application during its meeting next week (September 4th and 5th).

– IFF and the local organisers will meet with the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture on Monday the 31st of August to discuss the present covid-19 situation and the WFC 2020. When the IFF has received the actual application from the Finnish Floorball Federation, we can move forward to synchronise the competition calendar for 2021, says IFF Secretary General John Liljelund.

The Men’s World Floorball Championships are scheduled to take place December 4th-12th 2020 with 16 participating teams.

The IFF will provide more information after the next IFF CB meeting on Monday the 7th of September.
