The World Games Athlete of the Year 2024 voting ended today. Since the 9th of January, fans have been voting for their favourite candidates on The World Games website, once per day. Veera Kauppi, representing floorball, took home the 6th place in the voting.

Indonesian Veddriq Leonardo from Sport Climbing took the first place with a total of 77’045 votes while the Estonian Kristin Lätt from Flying Disc got the second place with 51’338 votes. Xin Tong from China whose sport is Wushu, finished third with a total of 26’181 votes. Veera Kauppi got the 6th place with 13’434 votes.

The World Games are approaching taking place in August in Chengdu, China and for the first, the Women’s Floorball tournament is included in the event.
