The Women’s 2025 World Floorball Championships Qualifications continue with the EUR2 event in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy on Wednesday 29th January. Eight teams are divided into two groups of four – Switzerland, Denmark, Hungary & Netherlands are playing in Group C with Slovakia, Poland, Italy & France playing in Group D.

Switzerland
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFCQ 2025?
A hungry team that gathering more and more experience. You can expect explosive and offensive floorball – from the first until the last minute.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
#17 Isabelle Gerig – She is the team captain and always eager to score or find the open pass.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
#10 Céline Stettler – Still young but already experienced. Knows how to use her strong and powerful body to win the battles on the court.
Who is your toughest player and why?
#2 Leonie Wieland – Toughest but also super fair. “Löne” will give 100% every shift and runs through walls for her team.
Who is your face-off champion?
#7 Laila Ediz – Quick hands, quick mind.
Denmark
Denmark didn’t send the IFF any pre event team information.
Hungary
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFCQ 2025?
Our team is made up of 20 determined girls, all fighting for one goal: to be the best they can be on the field and qualify for the World Championships. The task won’t be easy, but we believe that the hard work of the past months will show that the team deserves to go all the way.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
#26 Jázmin Kajtár – Despite her small stature, she can see well on the field, makes accurate passes to her teammates and doesn’t get confused in front of the goal.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
#8 Orsolya Stipsicz – She has played a stable role in the team for years and her wealth of experience is a big challenge for those who want to score goals.
Who is your toughest player and why?
#9 Nóra Lelovics – She has been an outstanding player in the Hungarian championship in recent years. Dynamic, technical player. Does not know a lost game.
Who is your face-off champion?
#18 Petra Magyar – Over the years, she has practiced and developed her skills, which have been of great use to her in national and international tournaments, as well as in the national team.
Netherlands
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFCQ 2025?
After the WFCQ 2023 in Latvia, the team has grown and progressed a lot. With some new additions from the U19 group, there is a great mix between seniority and fresh blood. After a great preparation we are ready to qualify for the WFC 2025!

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
#20 Annemijn Hoogenboom – Our new top talent. Her youth and will to win makes her a very dangerous attacker!
Who is your strongest defender and why?
#10 Merle Eppink – Our strongest defender, she has the wit, strength and skill to make sure we have a solid defense.
Who is your toughest player and why?
#8 Anouk Jonker – The toughest of the team. Although small in stature, she is by far the most strong mentally and physically.
Who is your face-off champion?
#23 Isra Eglin – The fiercest during the face-offs.
