Austria

Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFCQ 2025?

We have a very young and many-sided team, who worked and learned a lot during the last two years. They have lots of passion for the sport on the field and beside it, they have a really strong will and never give up. They stand together as a team and are always in a positive mood. The team will figth always till the last second of the game and we, as TEAM AUSTRIA, are always good for a surprise.

Players to watch

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?

#2 Rebecca Kuzel, every time she gets or has the ball, she is really dangerous and can shoot a goal at any minute. “Becci” is a loose cannon. She is swift and fast and has also a good stickhandling which makes her even more dangerous for her opponents.

Who is your strongest defender and why?

#22 Eleni Huber, even though she is really young she plays very strategic and solid and is always good to score a goal as well. In a duel with the other players she can carry her position. Eleni also tries to stay calm on the field and can read the play of her opponents very well. She’s also very important for the team because she can solve different situations on the field with her cleverness and her smart way to start a good offence.

Who is your toughest player and why?

#36 Vera Gebert, because she has a good overview on the field. Additionally she is fast and always good for a surprise and a great teamplayer. Vera can play with anyone because she is really flexible and can solve any situation in a smart way. She’s an allrounder who can play in any position and the team can rely on her. Vera has a very good offence and defence play, so it’s very difficult for her opponents to read her play because she can switch easily in her system and is always there, where you won’t expect her.

Who is your face-off champion?

#46 Alicia Kauntz – Alicia is one of the players making her WFCQ debut but this will not stop her from bringing her A-game to Latvia.
