Finland win gold at the Men’s World Floorball Championships 2024 in Malmö, Sweden. They beat Sweden in overtime 5-4. The golden goal was scored by Miska Mäkinen. This was his first goal in the WFC. 

Finland take home gold for the first time since 2018 World Championships in Prague, Czechia. Now they got to celebrate it in Malmö and on the home soil of Sweden. Sweden were leading already 4-0 in the final but Finland got back to the game in the second period when they scored twice. Justus Kainulainen scored his second goal and Aaro Astala finally evened the game just two minutes before the end of the third period. Miska Mäkinen then scored his first WFC goal which also became the winning goal for the Finns.

Czechia won the bronze match against Latvia 8-2. Latvia made their best result in this event by finishing 4th.
