The IFF has launched a groundbreaking new development programme, “Floorball: FitForFuture” (4F), for all its member associations. The 4F programme aims to support the acceleration of the development of all national floorball federations and thereby enhance the global relevance of floorball worldwide. A strategic management system enables all national floorball associations to grow and better respond to current and future challenges.
Background on the 4F Development Programme
The programme is based on the output of a three-year development project which was supported by the European Commission. A project group, consisting of representatives from nine European floorball associations and the IFF, has created a unique toolkit that allows the measurement of the present development stage of the organisations and can significantly support and accelerate the development of each individual floorball federation. The tools combine the experiences, know-how, and best practices of all participants in the project group and are built in such a way that it can help to solve many challenges for the federations.
The initial use of the tools has already demonstrated their potential to create significant value for the development of the floorball community. The tools enable federations to clearly define their current position in various areas of their operations, identify potential development barriers, and establish a measurable path to accelerate their overall development.
— I am delighted to witness the transition of the 4F EU project into the sustainable 4F IFF programme. This evolution underscores our commitment to long-term growth and excellence in floorball. I look forward to seeing the positive impact this transition will have on our member associations and the global floorball community, comments Filip Šuman, the Vice President of the IFF.
Support
The countries of the Euro Floorball Tour (EFT) have provided financial support for this programme, allowing Frederik Dilger to recently join the IFF team as an employee. Frederik brings a wealth of experience and insights, having served as the representative of Germany throughout the entire three-year project. In his role as programme coordinator, Frederik will play a key role in ensuring sustainable support for member associations. He will assist all interested associations in utilising the toolkit and engage in direct discussions with associations regarding the implications of evaluation results for their future.
— The IFF is sincerely grateful to the EFT countries for the financial support, without the organisational development FitForFuture programme would not have been possible to launch. The programme will give the IFF the possibility to provide individual guidance and support for an organisational development. This programme will give us tools to together foster the growth and advancement within the IFF family, says John Liljelund, the IFF Secretary General.
Programme launch
In recent weeks, all IFF member associations have been invited to two online meetings where the programme was introduced, and registration was opened. A total of 25 member associations and the existing nine members participated in the meetings. In the coming weeks, many one-on-one meetings with individual associations are scheduled to explain the programme more in detail and provide individual support.
All interested associations can contact Frederik Dilger (dilger@floorball.sport).
