Andrea Vitali (Italy)
Age: 27
Player status: Active
New candidate
I have been playing floorball since childhood, and I have continually challenged myself across different leagues in Switzerland (NLA, NLB), as well as internationally with the Italian national team. These experiences have deepened my commitment to the sport and my desire to support its growth on a global scale.
In terms of my academic and professional background, I recently completed my Master of Science in Banking and Finance (with a Major in Data Science) at ZHAW in Winterthur. Throughout my studies, I have also worked as a Portfolio Manager at an investment management firm specializing in Real Estate Private Equity transactions, a position I am currently holding.
My motivation for joining the Athlete Commission stems from a strong desire to help elevate floorball, a sport I believe is often unfairly considered minor due to its limited presence outside of North- and Central Europe. I am not just passionate about participating in the operational development of the sport but, more broadly, contributing to efforts that seek to expand its global reach.

Soon we can be skiing, skating and snowboarding. My boy is playing football and floorball and I try to coach those seven years old boys. That’s nice but hard hobby aswell.
I have been a member of the IFF Athletes’ Commission for five years. The work in the commission has been interesting. After the corona, we have been able to influence things in our sport and it feels like this work is only at the beginning. That’s why I feel that it would be great to be able to continue working with floorball in the athletes’ commission also in the future
