The 14th Women’s World Floorball Championships will take place from 2nd — 10th December in Singapore. Finland, Switzerland, Norway and Latvia are playing in Group A.
Finland
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2023?
We have a good mix of players with experience and zeal of youth. During the last two years and the last few months, the preparation has gone well, so we are ready to work hard and chase the gold in Singapore.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
#15 Miisa Turunen – Young talent with great technical skills and tough attitude. She will form a really dangerous attack line with the Kauppi twins.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
#11 Laura Manninen – WFC 2023 is already her fifh and probably her last WFC tournament with the national team. So, for sure she gives 100% on the field and wants to win every 1vs1 situation.
Who is your toughest player and why?
#2 Alma Laitila – Despite being a small player, she has excellent skills to read the game and win 1-1 situations. Young and mentally tough player who plays at good level from shift to shift.
Who is your face-off champion?
Switzerland
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2023?
A lot has happened with Team Switzerland since the last WFC in Uppsala. New coaches and a big part of the players will also take part in their first championship. You can expect to see a brave and disciplined team that will bring trouble to all opponents. Last time the WFC came to Singapore, who won? Exactly!

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
#17 Isabelle Gerig, a righthanded player whos got all the tools. Shooting, passing, dribbling.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
#15 Doris Berger – Aggressive, strong and fast. Berger won’t lose many battles in Singapore.
Who is your toughest player and why?
#2 Leonie Wieland – Plays really hard and really fair. Every duel means a lot for Wieland. She will bring it all!
Who is your face-off champion?
#21 Corin Rüttimann – Maximal experience, maximal skill.
Norway
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2023?
Our team has gained experience and we will strive to be the best we possible can in the coming WFC in Singapore.

#2 Rikke I. Hansen is our designated sniper.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
#7 Tone Einstulen has many years of experience in the national team and in SSL.

#8 Lene Benkø is our toughest player.

Latvia
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2023?
The core of the team has already played together over several years and the players have gotten to know each other well on and off the field. You can expect from us a good game in defence, good overall play and a lot of goals scored.
