14 Women’s World Floorball Championships will take place from 2nd — 10th December in Singapore. Germany, Australia, Singapore and France are playing in Group C.
Germany
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2023?
Team Germany’s game has taken big improvement after last WFC, and peak of that development was a historical 5-3 win against Finland U19 team in last July’s friendly match in Finland. Team consists of many great personalities and is a mix of new younger players and experienced familiar faces from earlier Championships.
Germany starts now in group C, outside of top 8 nations, but everyone in the team is hungry to show that they belong back with the best teams. Even bigger goal in the tournament is to reach 5th place, which would mean place to 2025 World Games in China. Players have shown that when they can play by game plan in relaxed state, 5th place in WFC is a realistic goal to reach.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
#11 Winona Jürgens has shown that she can strike when opposite team least expects. Offensive zone positioning is top class and timing to move makes it hard for defenders to follow her. She can shoot from all kinds of passes with one touch and her shots are accurate.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
Attackers of opposite team should look around when they get the ball, because #12 Theresa Beppler-Alt doesn’t slow down when she aims to get it back. She shows example how to play hard, but clean when defending. Theresa is also fast with the ball and owns an effective shot from distance.
Who is your toughest player and why?
#7 Anna-Lena Best is a superior all-time top scorer in German Bundesliga with way over 100 goals so far. Besides scoring, she’s also a creative player with silky hands, and one of the strongest and toughest players in the team, so it will be hard to stop her when she’s attacking.
Who is your face-off champion?
Looking for a best player to face-off is not easy, but let’s bring #15 Elena Bröker in. This season Elena plays in Sweden and her strongest parts besides scoring are challenging and breaking inside opposite formations, but she can also win balls to the team from face-offs with good percent.
Australia

We are happy to be able to do this in our “half of the world”. Of course, we also have the right mix of young and experienced players.
