The first Inner Mongolia Hohhot snow floorball tournament kicked off on 8 February 2023. The one-day tournament saw six teams from six local primary schools compete to showcase the unique fun of playing floorball on snow. In recent years, Hohhot has continued to introduce floorball to schools, and 65 primary and secondary schools have now included the sport as part of their school-based PE curriculum.

– Snow floorball is a part of floorball promotion plans targeting students during the winter season. We hope that more children can take part in floorball sports thus laying a good foundation for floorball in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, says Yue Liya, general secretary of the Hockey Association of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
