The European host cities and groups have been decided for the Women’s WFC 2023 Qualifications. Koceni, Latvia and Lignano Sabbiodoro, Italy will play host to 10 teams each from 31st January – 4th February 2023.
30 teams registered* to participate for the 2023 Women’s World Championships, and the teams for the final round will be decided by regional qualifications played in Europe, Asia Oceania and the Americas. From the European events 12 teams will qualify, from Asia-Oceania two, and one from the Americas. Only the host country, Singapore, receive direct qualification.
In the European qualifications the teams will play once against each team in their group and, based on the standings after these group matches, the top 3 in each group will qualify for the final round.
The host cities for the Asia-Oceania and Americas qualifications are still to be confirmed. Information on those will be released at a later time.
QUALIFICATION GROUPS
The 14th Women’s World Floorball Championships will be played in Singapore from 2nd – 10th December 2023. This will be the second time that Singapore has hosted this event, and only the second time that it has been played outside of Europe. 16 teams will compete in the final round.
*Russia registered to participate but were not considered for inclusion to the qualifications due to their suspension from all international activities according to the decision of the IFF Central Board on 1st March 2022.
