The 10th Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships will be played in Katowice, Poland 31st August — 4th September. Canada, New Zealand, Hungary and Italy are playing in Group C.

Enthusiastic team of talented young girls. We are here to have fun, play as a team and live our passion for floorball. Our aim is to be one of the non European leading floorball countries.

Sophie Pomeroy is a young player with great skills, a nice shot and a very promising future.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
Elly Peters is one of our more experienced players, always enthusiastic and a great fighting spirit.

Elise van Thielen – great technique, dangerous shot and outstanding game vision.

Scotia Broome – always a positive attitude, never gives up and great sportsmanship.
New Zealand

We are a young and enthusatic team, all living in New Zealand. We aim to improve our world ranking and experience a high level of floorball.

Hannah Bertchinger loves to lead with a laugh.

Hungary
Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFC 2022?
Our team is made up of 18 ambitious and determined girls who have made a dream come true by qualifying for the World Championships. Our new goal is to be at our best again and achieve a result at the World Championships that we can be proud of.
Players to watch
Rookie or young player to look out for on your team and why?
Réka Hajas – The young defender joined the national team at the age of 15. She is a constant point of the defensive line, who sees the whole field and helps the attack. From match to match, she gives a solid, balanced performance.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
Nóra Lelovics – She has been a key player in the Hungarian league in recent years and is the most experienced player in the national team, having been a member of the senior women’s team at the age of 15. As team captain, she leads the team both on and off the field, passing on her experience to her teammates, who accept and look up to her, and is the driving force behind the team.
Most skilful player?
Nóra Lelovics – Dynamic, technical player. Does not know a lost match.
Which player demonstrates #FairFloorball the best and why?
Lili Huber – Our player plays with clean instruments in matches, always shows fair behaviour towards the opponent, and does not openly question the referees’ decisions. She fights for her team’s victory.
Italy
Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFC 2022?
Very united and compact team, with excellent character that makes the group its strong point. The girls have set themselves the goal of never giving up and to play each match with maximum energy.
Players to watch
Rookie or young player to look out for on your team and why?
We have two very young players who will be playing their first matches in the national team, Elena Leu and Vittoria De Luca. We are sure that they will play with a lot of energy and gain important experience.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
The captain, Roberta Olshov, is a leader by showing a lot of positive energy both on and off the field, as well as trying to help each player to feel at ease and play as best as she can.
Most skilful player?
We have many skilful players, but the spectators should in particular watch Marta Pelliccioni, a sniper with great individual technical skills.
Which player demonstrates #FairFloorball the best and why?
Marta Cavaldesi is a good example of FairFloorball. She always treats all teammates with equal respect and while showing great fighting spirit on the field she always plays in a fair and correct way. You will never hear her make a negative comment due to race, gender or sexuality.
