Quantum Consultancy, the bespoke sport and event consultancy, has been appointed by the International Floorball Federation (IFF) to provide a strategic evaluation service to assess the next five editions of the men’s and women’s World Floorball Championships (WFC). As part of the agreement, Quantum will also provide a monitoring service to assess and report on progress made towards objectives set out within the IFF Strategy 2021-2032.
Throughout the summer of 2021, Quantum Consultancy has conducted a consultation process which has engaged IFF staff, the IFF Strategy Implementation Working Group, future organisers of the Men’s WFC in Switzerland (2022) and Women’s WFC in Singapore (2023) and other event partners to better understand and align the event hosting objectives of stakeholders.
The consultation process has been part of a wider development of a long-term strategic evaluation and monitoring framework which is set to be implemented later this year.
— IFF is very much looking forward to starting the cooperation with Quantum Consultancy for our tailormade Event Evaluation Reports. It becomes important to gather information about our events to ensure we meet our strategic targets. We will use the results from each Evaluation Report to assess the development of our main events (WFCs) as well as to measure how well we are progressing towards our strategic targets. The evaluation and monitoring programme will be an agenda item at the IFF Association Meeting scheduled for December 2021 where Quantum will present the strategic evaluation and monitoring framework. The IFF Central Board has confirmed the green light for the Women’s WFC 2021 in Uppsala, Sweden and the Men’s WFC 2020 in Helsinki, Finland in November and December of this year. Quantum Consultancy will work in close collaboration with the IFF, the Swedish Floorball Federation and the Finnish Floorball Federation to evaluate the economic and social impacts of both events under these protocols. Both the Men’s and Women’s WFC are expected to take place with capacity crowds following approval from local authorities.
