The new FIUF App by the Italian Floorball Federation will help the Italian floorball community to stay up to date on the events and federation’s news.

The upcoming autumn will offer action for the fans of the Italian national teams. The Men’s U19 team will play at the U19 World Floorball Championships 2021 in Brno, Czech Republic from 25th to 29th of August. In the beginning of September, the Women’s U19 national team will play for the spot at the Women’s U19 WFC 2022 in New Zealand when the qualification event takes place in Saku, Estonia. One can follow the performance of the Italian teams via the new FIUF App. In addition to the events, the app includes news from the Italian federation and information from the Italian championships.

The FIUF App is the first step in the federation’s plan, which includes many development projects in the next work cycle. The aim for the federation is to be more innovative in their approach. According to the President of the Italian Floorball Federation, Giorgio Rambaldi, the app development will not end here:

—  In our plans, we want to develop a more advanced and complete app during the next season, to have something more integrated with our website, to reach something similar to the IFF app, so for example being able to look at team rosters and single player stats. Moreover, an app also useful for clubs to manage burocratic steps: check athletes status, join championships, submit/check needed datas etc., Rambaldi comments and continues:

— It felt important to us to “come out quickly” after the Federation elections in July, with something new, to show to Italian Floorball movement that this is a restart moment, a “Italy comeback”, as we are calling it, after the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.

The FIUF App is currently available on Android only, but the iOS version is on the way.
