34 participants attended the third national basic level coaching seminar of the year organised in Shenzhen, China. The seminar was organised from 27th of April to 1st of May and the participants were for example from Macao, Chengdu, Hunan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
The five day event was organised by China Hockey Association (CHA), co-organised by Shenzhen Huaqiaocheng Sports Center Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Ruiao Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd, and undertaken by Shenzhen Hockey Association.
The opening ceremony was held on April 27th. Liu Dongwei, President of China Floorball Union (CFU), Li Juan, vice president of Shenzhen Hockey Association, Li Ning, chairman of Macao Floorball Association, and Liu Yunfei, general manager of Shenzhen Huaqiaocheng Sports Center Co., Ltd. were invited to the class opening ceremony. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Liu Dongwei welcomed all the trainees and gave a detailed introduction to CFU’s annual competition, training and activity plan. He said that CFU would build a broader platform for practitioners and wished the seminar a complete success.
— I introduced the history and project characteristics of floorball in detail, explained the basic skills and rules of floorball, and also explained and practiced the basic training methods of floorball for the participants. The students participated actively and studied hard. The seminar effect is very good, said Mr. Yuanyong, Vice President of CFU.
After three days of systematic study, 34 students all passed the theoretical and practical assessment and obtained the basic level floorball coach certificate.
— Most of the participants in this training session had previous hockey experience. Under the guidance of Mr. Yuanyong, the participants quickly mastered the floorball technique. I can feel that the players are as passionate and like to play the game competitively. I believe that under the leadership and efforts of CFU, Chinese floorball will develop and Shenzhen floorball will start a new chapter, said Ms. Lijuan, Vice President of Shenzhen Hockey Association.
