The Swiss Supercup semi-final pairs are now decided. The Supercup will be played August 29th – 30th in Saalsporthalle, Zurich.
This season the Swiss Supercup will be played as a “Final Four Edition”. Usually the cup winner and the Swiss champion fight for this title, but since there is no Swiss champion, the Supercup will take place as a “Final Four Edition” for two days and with four women’s teams and four men’s teams. The semi-finals will be held on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.
Semi-final pairs
The floorball community had the chance to vote to decide who should play against whom in the semi-finals and now the semi-final pairs are decided. In the women’s, the Supercup finalists from last year, Piranha Chur and Kloten-Dietlikon Jets, will meet in the first semi-final. In the other semi-final, Wizards Bern Burgdorf and Skorpion Emmental Zollbrück, both from Bern, will play for the spot in the final.
There will also be a “Bern derby” in the men’s semi-final: SV Wiler-Ersigen will play against Floorball Köniz, like two years ago in Supercup. Alligator Malans and Zug United will meet in the other semi-final. The two last faced each other at the Cup final in Bern at the end of February. At that time, Zug prevailed in overtime and took the trophy. Now Malans have the chance to take revenge.
