Russia beat Netherlands 12-2 and take fourth win in U19 WFCQ. Today’s match between Hungary and Austria will decide the second qualifier.
RUSSIA – NETHERLANDS
Netherlands needed to beat Russia in order to keep their chances for the WFC 2020 ticket. It didn’t start well for the Dutch and Russia seemed to enjoy an easy-going match from the first minute and secured their fourth win in U19 WFCQ. Just like in previous games, Russia scored their opening goal early and took control of the match. A total of 8 Russian players scored in this match and the final result was 12-2. Russia was on fire during the whole tournament, in four matches they scored 48 goals and lost only 6. The MVP award of team Russia went to the Captain #7 Tatiana Kozlova.
HUNGARY – ITALY
In the evening match Hungary needed a win to stay in the battle for the second place in the tournament. It was another great performance from #15 Nora Lelovics who scored 4 and helped the team to win over the hosts. Italy managed to reply once when #17 Camila Olshov scored a penalty. Afterwards she was awarded with the best player trophy as well as #9 Kinga Anna Oravecz from Hungary.
The winning team of today’s match between Hungary and Austria will qualify to U19 WFC in Uppsala.
