After an successful event in 2018, Berlin will host the Floorball Final4 again in 2020. Next year’s edition is played at the famous Max-Schmeling-Halle on 21st-22nd of March.
The Floorball Final4 is Germany’s biggest and most important floorball event. A vivid composition made of exciting cup matches, male and female semi-finals on Saturday, finals on Sunday framed with a broad program consisting of various workshops, youth competitions and side events.
For the first time in German floorball history the event will take place in a big multi-functional arena, the Max-Schmeling-Halle, and Jan Kratochvil from the local organisers says that the aim is to have at least 3.500 spectators in the venue:
– This location allows us to reach out to the general public, larger sponsors and important media. Furthermore we want to attract floorball players and fans from all around Europe to travel to Berlin – as due to good connections and low prices such a trip will be attractive as a tourist destination too. So welcome to Berlin in March 2020!
In 2020 a Floorball Village will be part of the event for the first time. Here both active floorball players and first-time visitors, will be able to participate in various small competitions representing necessary floorball skills such as speed, precision or fast reactions.
Berlin will be hosting the Floorball Final4 for the second time after 2018. The successful premiere a year ago inspired local developers as well as the German federation to move the event to the capital for good. Also thanks to support by the Senate of the city of Berlin this endeavor might become reality.
