The player transfer period for the year 2018 came to an end on the 15th of January 2019 with 672 player transfers in total.
International Player Transfers 2018
International transfer amount in 2018 was 648. This is a slight increase from the previous year’s (2017) total transfer amount which was 611.
This number of international player transfers includes International Transfers and Intercontinental Visitor transfers & Intermediate Student transfers. The last two are both for short term, maximum of 60 days. For these IFF received 30 transfers.
International transfers were done to a total of 26 different countries in 2018.

The number of international transfers (Ordinary, INT Student and Visitor) has increased steadily over the years and in 2018 with 6% compared to the previous year.
Player Transfers in total
The total amount of transfers, if calculating all the transfers; ordinary, visitor, Int student and temporary play transfers, was 672 in 2018. This is 8% more compared to the previous year’s 625 transfers.
The next International Transfer period starts on the 1st of May 2019 and the transfers will be made valid starting from the 1st of July 2019.

Temporary Play Transfers 2018
The Temporary Play Transfer procedure, which started in 2008, continued also during the summer of 2018 with 24 transfers in total. This was quite an increase from the previous year 2017: 14 transfers. The Temporary Play window was open between 1st of May and 31st of August 2017.

Transfer Statistics 1998-2018
International player transfers in Floorball have been made since 1998. The biggest amount of transfers during 1998-2018 has been completed to Sweden with the total of 2 210 transfers so far. Norway is the number two with the overall numbers of 1 574 and Switzerland, which has steadily increased the transfer amounts each year, is number three with 1 355 transfers.
The total number of transfers for 1998-2018 is now 9 371.
Over the years, international transfers have been made to a total of 30 different countries.
