The Competition Manager´s Meeting for the World Games 2021 was organised in Birmingham between 3rd and 5th of October.
Competition managers from each International Federation gathered together in Birmingham, USA to work towards the upcoming World Games in 2021. The managers received information concerning the venues, schedules, rules, accommodation, medical services, communication and transportation. They had also a chance to see the planned venues and facilities for sports and audiences.
The competition managers work as the link between the local organiser and International Federation. They start their work now, although there is still some time remaining before the next edition of the World Games. The Competition Managers expressed enthusiasm for the preparation of the games and the event itself.
The IFF Secretary General, Mr. John Liljelund, represented the IFF in the meeting and is looking forward to the Games:
– Even if The World Games in Birmingham are still three years away, the local organiser has all well planned and prepared, with accommodation at the three campuses in the city and the venues next to them. It is going to be a spectacular Event in 2021 and we in floorball have a lot to do to keep up with the other sports.
Floorball will be one of the over 30 sports that are included in the 11th edition of the World Games 2021 in Birmingham.
