Eight teams will compete in the Men’s category of The EuroFloorball Challenge (EFCh). The EFCh is played at the M-Šport Centrum in Trencin, Slovakia on the 23rd – 27th of August 2017.

The EuroFloorball Challenge (EFCh) is the championship tournament for European national club champions outside of those in Champions Cup and the EuroFloorball Cup.

In 2017, due to the number of registrations, only a men´s tournament will be held. 8 men´s teams from Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Italy, The Netherlands and Spain will compete in two groups (4 teams in each group) and the winners of EFCh will qualify directly to EuroFloorball Cup 2018.

Group B

Floorball L´Aquila

Team L´Aquila is an experienced team that has years of experience from playing together. This will be their third time playing at the EFCh after Oslo 2010 and Zielonka 2015. Team´s aim is to get one victory in the group matches.

Players to watch

Alessandro Agrusti: Strong defender with amazing ability to be in the right position at the right time. Good scorer in the Italian league.

Francesco Placidi: Smart player, good runner and great shooter. Francesco is one of the key players of the team.

Diego Pace: Although Diego is one of the youngest players of the team, he has already played in various international tournaments and gained experiece to play against top level opponents.

UFC Utrecht 1

UFC Utrecht is a young and eager team from The Netherlands with only one goal: to win the EFCh with attractive floorball. 11 of the 13 players of the team has started floorball career at Utrecht and lead the club to their first national championship last year. After dominating the national league, they are now ready for the Euro Floorball Challenge.

Players to watch

Aron Piekema: Unstoppable and incredibly eager to win each duel on the field.

Jeroen Bart: Forward with experience in the Swedish League. Great skills and an amazing shot.

Nikki Jansen: Young talented defender with a great distance shot. Made 40 points in only 13 games last season.

CUF Leganes

This will be a comeback for the Spanish CUF Leganes to an European club tournament after EuroFloorball Cup in 2011. They have a really young team with key old-school players and their aim is to do their best in this competition.

Players to watch

Magnus Olson: Oldschool player with good vision in and out of the field, great overview of the game. Excellent individual technique and scoring ability.

Ricardo Sanchez: Passion, brave and smart player with great fighting spirit who will never give up.

Miguel Solis: Young and hardworking player with brave defense and who can beat strongly in every situation.

Florbalovy klub AS Trencin

FK AS Trencin from Slovakia is a fast-growing club where the experience of older players is combined with the speed and technical capabilities of young players. Team´s goal in EFCh 2017 is to present active offensive floorball that will be enjoyed by the spectators.

Juraj Matejka: Team captain and leader. Player with the most experience and forme national team captain.

Peter Klapita: Smart player with excelent passes. Former juniors national team captain.

Matus Machara: Excelent defensive player with a huge span of hands. Tall and well technically prepared with the killer instinct.
