Two teams will play in the Women´s World Floorball Championships Qualification for Americas group. The AMER qualification is played in the Cornell Community Centre Markham, Ontario, Canada on the 3rd and 4th of February 2017.
From Americas, the top placed team will qualify.
Canada (16) and USA (17) are very close to the rankings and the game will be very tight which team will qualify to the final round. Even though Canada is ranked higher, last time these two teams met was in December 2015 and US won both matches with only few goals difference.
From AOFC, 4 teams will qualify, and from Europe 10 teams plus Slovakia, who is hosting the Women´s WFC 2017, will qualify.

Women´s WFCQ 2017 AMER Team presentations
After not able to qualify for the 2015 WFC Canada is determined to make it happen this year. A few new faces have joined the team including a number of young players that represented Canada at the last U19 WFC. The team has been preparing for the qualifier games since August 2016 and one can expect two close games.
Players to watch
Kathryn Kennedy Kathryn was the leading scorer for Canada at the last U19 WFC. She is a division I NCAA hockey player and has proven to be one of the most dangerous players on the team.
Kaitlyn Fung Kaitlyn is amongst the youngest players on the team. Quite but very talented and fast and has shown her skills at the last U19 WFC.
Sonja Hotke Sonja is amongst the most experienced players in Canada. She has been part of the team since 2009 and has great impact in bringing stability and leadership to a young team.

The team has a good mixture of experienced and new young players. The goal is to win both games and qualify for the WFC2017 in Slovakia.
Players to watch
Marie Häggström A very skilful and experienced center with excellent stickhandling and scorer qualities.
Adelia Pennisi A young but experienced player. She´s very fast and has a good eye for the game.
Tiffany Gerber A very experienced player with a good eye for the game. Leader on and off the field.
