The Indian Floorball Federation achieved an important milestone when Floorball for Boys & Girls (U17) was included as one of the sports in the 62nd National School Games.

The 62nd National School Games were held at Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh State, India 4th – 10th of December 2016. National School Games were organised by School Games Federation of India (SGFI) under Ministry of Sports in India, with the help of Department of Education and Sports, Government of Chhattisgarh. The mentor behind this success was Dr. Prabhat Kumar (IAS) President of the Indian Floorball Federation (InFF).

More than 240 players from different Indian states participated in the tournament. The matches were conducted under the supervision of Chairman, Gaming Committee of InFF Mr. Jitender Singh with a team of 8 Referees and 12 Officials. A total of 26 matches were played in the tournament.

Chief Guest at the opening ceremony was Mr. Abhishek Singh,  Member of Parliament and in the Closing Ceremony it was Ms.Chitralekha Verma, President  Zila panchayat. The closing function was presided over by Mr. S. R. Karsh, Assistance Director of Sports in Chhattisgarh Government and Vice President of School Games Federation of India. Dr. Pradeep Singh, General Secretary of Inff was in charge of this tournament.
