The last semi-final team was set after yesterday’s Happee – TPS match. Semi-finals start this Sunday.
Quarter-finals are now over in the men’s league in Finland. Viikingit was the first team to proceed to the next round by beating the reigning champion SPV 4-1. Classic confirmed their place in the semi-finals later on the same day when they took their fourth win against OLS. All in all Classic won OLS 4-1.
Oilers defeated Tapanilan Erä 4-2, despite of Tapanilan Erä’s great fight. One of the most exciting, and even surprising, quarter-final pairs was Happee – TPS. It all came down to the seventh and last match. Before the last game, all the matches had ended with a one goal difference. In the last encounter, current silver medalist Happee was clearly stronger and beat TPS 9-1.
Semi-finals will also be played with a best of seven system. The semi-finals start this Sunday 27.3.
