The most thrilling Men´s season came to a dignified end as four matches with partly surprising results were played. UHC Sparkasse Weißenfels won the final after two final matches versus its long-term rival, MFBC Löwen Leipzig.

A 6-4 away victory two weeks ago was the key to success. This Saturday Weißenfels could win with 4-2 its 8th Championship in series, supported by 850 spectators.

Bremen and Döbeln are the relegated teams in 2010

For the very first time two teams from the 1st league were relegated to the 2nd league. Both UHC Döbeln and TV Eiche Horn Bremen were not able to beat their opponents, neither in their home match nor their away match. 615 spectators watched a very exciting 2nd victory from the Floor Fighters Chemnitz, although the result after two periods was a draw.

The SSF Dragons Bonn will follow the Floor Fighters to the 1st German league after a 4-3 victory against Bremen. Bonn is now the first team representing North Rhine-Westphalia in the German Bundesliga whereas Chemnitz have imroved after their relegation in the last season.

Red Devils took the bronze

The Red Devils won the bronze medal by beating ETV Hamburg with 6-4. Nevertheless, both Hamburg and Wernigerode can be quite satisfied with their performance as they could beat Weißenfels this season for the first time.

Final4 event May 15th – 16th

The season in Germany is not over yet: On the 15 and 16 May a great event, the Floorball Deutschland final4, will take place in Leipzig. Different categories of tournaments will be played besides the Floorball Deutschland Cup. The spectators can expect four teams in the semifinals – Döbeln vs. Weißenfels and Hamburg vs. Heidelberg. Can Döbeln activate the fans after their relegation? Will Hamburg confirm its favourite role against Heidelberg that is playing its best season in the 3rd German league?
