A new record has been reached in the Finnish Floorball Federation as there are now 45 000 licensed Floorball players in Finland.

The number of licensed players has increased annually since 1986. There are now 821 Floorball clubs and 2 300 teams in Finland. Floorball is the third biggest ball team sport in Finland behind Football and Ice hockey and Floorball is also an important recreational sport with
400 000 recreational players playing regularly.

• 30 000 licensed players (2001)
• 40 000 licensed players (2008)
• 45 000 licensed players (5.3. 2010)
