Mika Kohonen became the all time top scorer in the Swedish Super League on Wednesday as he scored one goal and gave three assists when Storvreta IBK defeated Umeå City with 10-3.
Kohonen has now collected 695 points and passed the previous record holder Niklas Jihde with one point.
The historical goal was scored in 53.05 when Storvreta was awarded a penalty shot. Kohonen´s feints were effective and he could lift the ball into the net and score his goal number 236 and the 6th goal in the match for Storvreta.
– It was great that this happened on the home field and that I could share the achievement with the home crowd although the victory pleased me the most, Kohonen told to Uppsala Nya Tidningen yesterday.
