The Latvian home team Rubene won the Women´s EFC Qualification East and is therefore qualified to the Women´s EFC Final Round.

Rubene won all their four matches in the tournament. The previous matches had ended with clear margin to the Latvian team, but last match against Estonian Jäneda SHN was tight and ended after a tight battle with result 6-4 to Rubene.

Earlier today also another women´s match was played in Vidzeme Olympic Center, where Slovakian FBC Dragons Ruzinov and Hungarian Phoenix Fireball SE played. In that match the fourth place of the tournament was at stake. Phoenix Fireball SE won the match with result 9-6 and was therefore placed 4th.

With the tournament victory on EFCQ East Rubene was qualified to the EuroFloorball Cup Final Round. The EFC Final Round will be played in Frederikshavn, Denmark on 14th to 18th of October 2009. Rubene was the second ranked qualified team from EFCQ East/West and will therefore be placed to Women´s Group A in EFC Final Round. In group A Rubene will play together with reigning EFC Champion IKSU from Sweden, Finnish champion SC Classic and the home team, Danish Frederikshavn Bulldogs.
