Emelie Lindström (Balrog B/S) and Fredrik Djurling (AIK IBF) have been elected players of the year in Sweden for 2008/2009.
This was already the second time in a row that Emelie Lindström received this award. Both players still have a chance to win the national championships title as well when AIK IBF will play in the Men´s final and Balrog B/S in the women´s final.

Already last season she was seen as a rather complete player, but this season she has excelled herself. She is even more confident when playing; she is enormously effective and makes the right choices. Lindström will be a very important player in the 2009 Women´s WFC.
Fredrik Djurling
Born: 15th of September 1981
Height/Weight: 193 cm/87 kg
Position: Forward

The following is said about the player of the year:
Fredrik Djurling has constantly kept his play on a high level and with his strong two way play been an important player for both AIK and the national team. Djurling also has a lot of other strengths such as: stick range, taking his team into account, has a winner instinct, is a modest player and a dangerous goal scorer.
Djurling was also elected as the all-star center in WFC 2008.
