The internationl transfer period lasting from the 1st of July until the 31st of December included over 450 transfers between the floorball countries. The number of annual transfers was higher than last year, but the top year is still year 2006, when 473 transfers were completed. 

The first Temporary Play Transfers in history were made during summer 2008. The Temporary Play window was open between 1st of July and 31st of August 2008. This gave the clubs the possibility to test players in the pre-season tournaments.

The next International Transfer period starts the 1st of May 2009 and the transfers are made valid from the 1st of July 2009.

Temporary Play Transfers

There were 10 completed Temporary Play Transfers during summer 2008. Nine of them were done to Fortuna Czech Open, which was played in Czech Republic. See all the Temporary Play transfers from here.

The IFF has decided to continue with the Temporary Play Transfers next summer. The next Temporary Play Transfer period starts 1st of July 2009.

Transfer Statistics 1998-2008

International transfers are made since year 1998. Even though Norway had most transfers this year, most of the transfers within period 1998-2008 are made to Sweden. Since year 1998, 897 international transfers are made to Sweden and 753 transfers to Norway.

Also Switzerland has passed the milestone of 500 transfers. In the end of year 2008 the total amount of transfers made to Switzerland was 501. Throughout the history, international transfers are made to 23 different countries. See the IFF Transfer Statistics 1998-2008 from here.
