The number of registered Floorball players and clubs is continuously increasing in the world. In 15 countries the growth has been more than 10% compared to last year´s statistics.

Floorball has developed especially in North America during the past year, as the number of players has increased in the United States from 600 to 920 and in Canada the number of players has been multiplied by five.

Russia is also one of the biggest growing countries with the number of players increasing from last year´s 900 to 2000.

There has been growth in most of the AOFC countries, for example the amount of players has increased in Australia with 64%, in Malaysia with 140% and in Singapore with 26%, compared to the last season.

In Europe especially Italy (42%), France (34%) have gained more players and in Germany the development work is bearing fruit as there is a 19% growth. In Slovenia the amount of players has increased with 27% and in Netherlands with 21% compared to last year.

In the most of the biggest Floorball countries the growth is still continuing. In Czech Republic the growth is 6,5%, in Finland 3,1% and in Switzerland 1,4% compared to last year.

In total the number of Floorball players has increased with 2,7% and the number of Floorball clubs with 3% compared to 2007. In addition to this, there is a lot of recreational Floorball players around the world
