Rubene took an early lead in the women´s EFCQ East final and never lost that grip.
After a tight 1st period where Rubene had 2-1 versus Nizhny Novgorod the history almost repeated itself. Rubene made 6-1 in the second period and used the last period just to control the match into a 10-2 victory, the last goal made with just one second left of the match.
Rubene did by this qualify for their 4th consecutive final round.

After an intense match in a high tempo Latvijas Avize took the last ticket to the EFC Final Round by defeating Szarotka Nowy Targ 3-2, the deciding goal made in power play with only 22 seconds left of the match.
