The Swedish Floorball Federation´s Central Board granted the Women´s World Championships, which will be played the 5th-13th of December 2009, to Västmanlands Floorball association.

In Västerås the whole tournament can be played in the Rocklunda area, which makes it easier for all interesting parties to follow the event. This was according to Mr. Magnus Nilsson, Central Board member of the SFF, the most important issue when the Board made its decision.

Also the concept, presented by the Västmanlands Floorball association, with the support of Västerås city and the business life in Västerås, made a difference in the final evaluation.

The group matches will be played in two different arenas and the Play off matches will be played in the new ABB Arena.
