The fifth IFF Development Program seminar was organised in El Escorial in Spain between the 13th-16th of September. There were 26 participants in the seminar and most of them were from Spain, but also participants from Italy and Portugal were present.
The organisational block concentrated much on how to build up and develop a new association, which is an important skill for new floorball countries such as the emerging Floorball nation, Portugal.
During the Referee education, the importance of having international referees in all member association was emphasized. Since there are more IFF events and international matches played in Floorball all over the world the need for international referees has increased.
The coaching block had a great number of current Floorball players that will become the Floorball coaches of the future. The future coaches found giving feedback, role play and the practical training sessions to be the most interesting themes during the seminar.
The next IFF Floorball Development seminars will be mini-seminars (including the coaching and the referee block) organised in Canberra, Australia 1st-2nd of December and in Singapore the 4th-5th of December 2007.
