The Finnish Floorball Federation has chosen Matti Kaipio, 28, as a new head coach for the women’s national team. The contract starts immediately and will last until the end of 2009.

During last season Kaipio was the head coach of the national league team SBS Rupu, and is one of the rare professional coaches working as Head of Coaching in a club SB Naantali, where he is in charge of the women’s section. This is not the first post for Kaipio in the national team as he was one of the assistant coaches during years 2001-03.
