At its meeting in Frederikshavn on May 17th, 2007 the Central Board (CB) of IFF dealt with the late arrival of Team Russia, which lead to the forfeit of the first match for Team Russia (Russia – Slovenia) in the U19 WFC Qualifications played in Malacky on the 27th to 29th of April in the Slovak Republic.
The CB established that the late arrival of Team Russia to the U19 WFC Qualifications in Malacky, is not acceptable and created unnecessary problems for the organiser – the Slovak Floorball Association and the participating teams.
The applicable IFF regulations are referred to in the Juridical Regulations chapter 2, Article 8, point 5.
The Central Board of IFF decided that the Federation of Floorball of Russia shall be fined in accordance with the IFF Juridical Regulations, Chapter 2, Article 8, point 5; with a total sum of 1.500 CHF for not participating in the technical meeting and for not showing up to the first match of the qualification. The fine is due to be paid within 3 months of the official information, latest on August 25th, 2007.
The decision taken by the IFF Central Board is without a possibility for Appeal, in accordance with the IFF Juridical Regulation Article 40, point b).
