In 2008, the IFF General Assembly approved the introduction of a License System for participating nations in IFF Events. Since then, the IFF Central Board and relevant IFF Committees have been discussing and developing the best way in which this system can be implemented.
The IFF Central Board has, based on the analysis and evaluation of the IFF Licence System 2008 made during the IFF Association Meetings in Ostrava 2013 and Tampere 2015, built a proposal for a version 2.0 of the IFF Licence System.
IFF Licence System for Participation in Major Events – version 2.0 was approved by the IFF General Assembly in Riga, Latvia 2016.
