Here are Tomas Eriksson’s regards to the floorball community:
Dear Floorball friends,
I have decided that I will not seek re-election at the upcoming General Assembly in December 2024.
It has been a pure privilege to serve you member associations in my capacity as IFF President from 1996 till 2024.
We have together achieved much, the membership has over time grown to 80 countries, on all continents all over the World. Many milestones in accordance with our Strategy “Strengthening the Foundations” till 2032 have already been reached, the 2011 recognition by the International Olympic Committee was vital for our awareness and growth. The 2017 inclusion of the World Games, being expanded to both women and men’s categories for TWG 2025 shows that emphasising equality is vital.
The growth on all continents have proven that our joint development work is paying off. The World Floorball Championships are attracting more and more international attention, the African Cup has been establishment, Floorball is on the SEA Games and possible AIMAG in Asia, our own IFF 3v3 Floorball WFC is another example which are all huge successes.
Now it is time to say thank you very much for your co-operation and full support for which I am highly thankful.
With kindest regards I remain,
Yours sincerely,
Tomas Eriksson
IFF President
