North American Floorball League (NAFL) kicked off with a three-day event in Georgetown, Texas. The teams will not have much time to rest before their next games as the league continues in Nashville, Tennessee from 18th — 21st July.

Texas 39ers had a convincing start as they won all their matches during the opening weekend. The team finished on the bottom of the league last season so this is the kind of improvement they were looking for. Interestingly, they won against the runners up from last season, Fresno Force 10-5. Fresno Force are second in the table and they share the same number of points with Minnesota Growlers and Aviators and followed by Fort Worth Jaguars. Seattle Sockeyes are the newest team in the NAFL and lost all their matches during the first round. This means they find themselves currently on the bottom of the table.

Billy Nilsson (Fresno Force) is playing his first NAFL season and has already 13 points – 4 goals and 9 assists from the first three games. This makes him the current top points scorer of the league. Andreas Kleczewski from Seattle Sockeyes is the current top goal scorer with 9 goals having scored over 50% of Sockeyes’ goals.

All matches are shown live on the NAFL Youtube channel.
