Day 2 is about to start at the Women’s U19 World Floorball Championships so let’s take a look at the events from the first day of competition. 

Group A

Both Switzerland and Czechia got a strong start for the event as they got a clear win against their opponents: Switzerland 8-1 against Latvia and Czechia 16-1 against Slovakia. Lucie Baldreichova and Karolina Klubalova from team Czechia got their names on the top of the scoring league list, having 5 points after the first match.

Group B

Also expected results in Group B as Sweden beat Norway in the first match 16-1 and Finland won 8-2 against Poland in the evening game. Ellen Lundin and Moa Dybner scored hat-tricks in the Swedish shirt and the reigning Champions are off to a great start at U19 WFC in Lahti.

Group C

First match between Australia and Germany ended in favour for Germany. Singapore played a historical first ever Women’s U19 WFC match against New Zealand and also got their first win. Final score 5-3 for Singapore.

Group D

Hungary beat Canada 8-2 and Denmark won 9-5 against Italy. Italy’s Chiara Taini scored a hat-trick and played big minutes for her team when Italy tried to come back to the game during last minutes.
