Men’s World Floorball Championships 2024 EUR3 Qualifications will take place in Skofja Loka, Slovenia from 31st January – 4th February. Switzerland, Denmark, Slovenia, Belgium and Italy will all be in action with the top 3 teams qualifying for the Men’s World Championships 2024 in Malmö, Sweden this December.
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFCQ 2024?
More than half of the players and the entire Staff have changed since WFC 2022. Together we are making new and important experiences. You can expect a hard working team full of energy and motivation, playing with a lot of speed and high intensity. We want to be an uncomfortable opponent for everyone, no matter who is standing on the other side.

#17 Pascal Schmuki made an impressive U19 WFC 2023. He keeps cool, has a good eye for the game and the power to bring the ball forward on his own
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
Our new captain #14 Noel Seiler is leading his team in a very natural way by being himself on and off the field. He is a good role model for young Swiss players.

Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFCQ 2024?
This is a national team that is under construction with a combination of experienced and new young players. We’ll play one game at a time and will hopefully go far.

#5 Simon Damsø. A young and talented player with strong defense player who creates a solid backbone, but also facilities good opportunities for her teammates.

#92 Frederik Kobberup. He is a strong defensive player and is also involved in the offensive game.

#14 Lukas Eldholm. A player with good technique, a strong shot, and is goal oriented!

This Slovenian national team mixes a few experienced players and a group of younger players.
We will play at home and we will try to achieve third place in the qualification group and qualify for WFC 2024.

#23 Nejc Peklaj is a young self-confident player with great skills. He is a representative of the new wave of Slovenian players.

#13 Blaz Kavcic is the most experienced player in our team. His values and positive approach are guaranty for his leading role in our team.

#20 Luka Podobnik has a unique technique with very unpredictable movements.

#45 Anze Habjan best demonstrates Fairfloorball in our team. Fairness follows him from his beginnings. He is a role model of fair play for our young players.
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFCQ 2024?
This team brings a lot of wit and determination to get the job done. After the disappointment from WFCQ in Latvia the team got together and worked on their overall game as a unit on both sides of the court. With some decent results in friendly games it’s now time to cash in and prove that Belgium is ready to take the next step.

#12 Arne Michiels, youngest player on the squad. Prime example of what players in the future could behold for Belgium.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
#8 Arpad Berteloot, a quiet leader who leads by example. Takes on a lot of responsibility for the team and makes sure that everyone is on the same page.
Most skillful player?
#16 Luca Boutmans, Wether it’s finding the passing lane, beating his man one-on-one or hitting the back of the net, this player always has one or two tricks up his sleeve to turn the game around.
Which player demonstrates #FairFloorball the best?
#17 Lucas Balcinhas Godinho, able to compete on the hardest level but always with respect for opponents, teammates and other people involved. Always available for a nice chat in between and bringing players from all teams together.
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFCQ 2024?
This is a new group, composed by several young players and a few veterans. During the preparation phase, a large number of players were examined in order to make up for some major injuries and to assemble the most competitive group possible.
Despite the international background, each player brings a unique set of skills, knowledge and experience to the team. The blending of these backgrounds may be key, for this team to succeed.
Team Italy arrives at this event with confidence, a clear vision and the necessary means to achieve its goal, which is to qualify for the 2024 World Cup.

#48 Tommaso Rubeo is still a young player with a few international experiences. He is very talented. His stick handling, his finesse and sensitivity with the stick make him one of the most skillful player this team ever had.
Who is a leader on and off the field and why?
#20 Federico Di Già is team Italy captain and a natural leader. Being a natural leader, he leads the team by example in and off the field. He stands out for his attitude and his continuous committment to the jersey and the country he represents.
Most skillful player?
#10 Simone Cappiello is only at his second international appearance and the first IFF WFCQ. As a forward, he understands the game really well and he always puts himself in the best conditions to be dangerous and score.

#11 Niccolò Dominici stands out for his fairness towards all aspects of the sport. Although he is a tough and competitive player, he is always respectful of the sport, his teammates, opponents and referees.
