For the upcoming Women’s World Floorball Championships, one player from each of the 16 participating teams has been appointed GoGirls! Ambassadors.
A celebration of sport and female empowerment will arrive at the Singapore Sports Hub this year, led by the 16 GoGirls! Ambassadors of the Women’s World Floorball Championships 2023 from 2nd—10th December.
First introduced by the IFF in 2013, the goal of the GoGirls! project is to increase and promote the participation of girls and women in floorball throughout the world. The project aims to provide guidance on the different challenges faced by girls in obtaining access to participation in sport, and to help break down those barriers within the international floorball family.
As ambassadors, they will continue to promote floorball in their respective communities in the lead up to the WFC 2023, and raise awareness of the resources available to girls who want to pick up the sport. These players are also role models on and off the court, with their performance during the WFC 2023 sure to inspire both the spectators at the Singapore Sports Hub, as well as viewers tuning in globally.
