The Women’s U19 WFC 2024 EUR Qualifications will take place in Besançon, France from 25 – 27th August 2023. Hungary, Denmark, Italy, and France will all play each other once and three best teams qualify for the final round in Lahti, Finland.

 

Hungary

Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFCQ 2024?

Many returning national team players have already represented Hungary at the 2022 U19 WFC, and now with new, young players joining them, our goal is to qualify for the 2023 World Championship. Each and every match is extremely important to us. While the younger players have to face multiple new challenges, their fellow, more experienced teammates are always there to give a helping hand. Participation at the Finland WFC is not guaranteed for a single team; therefore, we expect tough games.

#6 Szabó Hanna – very young but competent and mentally strong. She has a bright future awaiting her in this sport.

 

 

 

Who is a leader on and off the field and why?

#4 Gálfi Orsolya – she is a humble personality with a great passion for floorball both on and off the field. She is capable of giving herself and the others a second wind if and when necessary.

 

Most skilful player?

#2 Rezneki Panka – despite her young age, she is confident and skillful, and is always up to supporting the team with her smart solutions.

 

 

Which player demonstrates #Fairfloorball the best and why?

#46 Dulai Eszter – she aims to play by the rules in all situations but recognises and admits any error she makes. She provides support for her teammates and shows respect to opponents and referees in questionable situations.

 

 

 

Denmark

Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFCQ 2024?

A strong and social team filled with lots of qualities. We are participating in the WU19 WFCQ 2024 to win our group.

#9 Emilie Andersen – a young and talented girl with strong running skills, who dares to dribble and create opportunities on her own.

 

 

Who is a leader on and off the field and why?

#7 Sille Larsen – she is a strong defense player who creates a solid backbone, but also facilities good opportunities for her teammates.

 

 

Most skilful player?

#8 Sofia Frederiksen – a talented player with good technique and strong shot, who can play all positions on the field.

#11 Nickoline Thestrup Hansen – a player who treats the opponent with respect before, during and after the game.

 

 

 

 

Italy

Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFCQ 2024?

A young team which in the last years has acquired a new mental approach and shows full determination when on field. The only aim is to give everything we can and to reach the best possible placement in the tournament. The slogan of the team is: “We are, not I am”.

Rookie or young player to look out for on your team and why?

#27 Belen Lara Acosta – new entry, a creative centre with good technical skills, very tenacious and she never yields which makes her a very promising player.

 

 

Who is a leader on and off the field and why?

#9 Marta Pelliccioni – historic player of the Italian Women’s U19 national team, nicknamed “Killer” from the qualifications in Estonia and now the captain. With her goals, her grit and her way of playing, she is an undiscussed leader on and off the field.

 

Most skilful player?

#25 Chiara Taini – centre from the Swiss team UHC Laupen, she has already showed her capacity in the U19 WFC in Poland. With her scoring skills she is ready to help the team to reach the best possible placement.

 

Which player demonstrates #Fairfloorball the best and why?

#19 Cecilia Nicoli – defender with good technical skills and courage, she never gives up and this makes her an important part of the team. Her grit is equal to her kindness and her sense of Fair play, always ready to give everyone a second chance and to help teammates and her opponents.

#12 Marta Cavaldesi – lot of experience from international matches, with her calmness and wisdom she creates the right atmosphere for her team. Capable of playing in any position and always treating teammates and opponents with equal respect, you will never hear her make a negative comment due to race, gender or sexuality.

 

France

Short description of your team and aims at the WU19 WFCQ 2024?

As France’s first U19 women’s team, this group is determined to proudly represent our colors. Girls will come to this first international tournament focused and without any complexes: catch every opportunity to give our best, play with passion and humility.

Rookie or young player to look out for on your team and why?

#42 Maëlys Degoute – Maëlys is our young and talented goalkeeper. Already really assertive in front of the net, she gives confidence to her teammates in the defensive play. She is, for sure, one of our very promising players as she keeps working hard to develop her skills.

Who is a leader on and off the field and why?

#8 Flory Ann Godeux – as one of our natural leaders, Flory Ann turned out to be the right person to be our captain. Open-minded and highly motivated, she can unit the team, she connects all the “pieces of our puzzle” making our team stronger and cohesive.

Most skilful player?

#9 Salomé Causse – sharp individual skills, deep understanding of the game and good physical abilities, Salomé is a strong playmaker. She had a great floorball season winning the French Scania League with her team “Les Dahuts du Lac” and qualifying with the French National Team for the Women’s World Championships in Singapore. No doubt that Salomé will be a key asset for the team.

#15 Marie-Laure Chapon – Marie always has an excellent attitude. On the field, she has a great fighting spirit while respecting her opponents and she always supports her teammates. Off the field, she is joyful, honest and generous, definitely the kind of girl you want to have in your team. #teamfranceandfairfloorball
