The 14th Men’s World Floorball Championships will be played in Zurich & Winterthur, Switzerland from 5th – 13th November 2022. Australia, Denmark, Philippines and Poland play in Group D!
Australia
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2022?
A good mixture of experience and youth. Half the team is younger than 22 years of age. Team Australia is targeting a top two finish in the group stages. Don’t be surprised if we break into the top 10 for the first time this tournament!
Players to watch
Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
Liam Perry – With his vision, and eye for the goal complimented by a one-touch finish, Liam Perry would be our most dangerous attacker on the field.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
Raymond Staindl – Gives you everything you want in a defender. Hates to be beaten and never gives up and is a constant menace to any opposition who comes into his goal area.
Who is your toughest player and why?
Gavin Staindl – Would have to be our toughest player. His game day routine requires a 2 hour session with the physio followed by a 2 hour warm up just to keep up with the young guns – that’s how tough he is!
Who is your face-off champion?
Daniel Gartner – (the shorter of the two twins) would be our face-off champion. Under pressure he relies on that Australian swagger and Czech flair!
Denmark
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2022?
The real striking power of the team will be a surprise for everyone, as the full team has not been together yet! The team is a combination of older experienced players and also new young players. The defence will be in place with strong goaltending, the rest will remain to be seen…

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
Mathias Glass – 
One of the top scoring players from the qualification events in May. Sharpshooter.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
Mike Trolle – Has been one of the best goalies in the World for a while, in really good shape again who makes the foundation of a strong defence stronger.
Who is your toughest player and why?
Lukas Eldholm – A mentally strong player who plays in the Swedish Superleague. Will bring stability to the whole team.

Philippines
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2022?
No one knows what we are capable of, not even us. We may be an unpleasant surprise for other teams who are willing to underestimate us.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
Melvin Alm Mendoza – Melvin is very fast and skilful and is definitely worth the entrance ticket to our games.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
Simon Andersson – Simon is 2 meters long and 2 meters wide with muscles in-between.
Who is your toughest player and why?
Ludvig Hemmingberg Porral – Because Ludvig is a beast and wears a mullet. What is scarier than a mullet?
Who is your face-off champion?
Kim Varga Franz – Not only does Kim win the most face-offs, he has also the happiest face of all time.
Poland
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2022?
Our team, although it is full of young debutants, is ready to repeat the success from U19 Championships in Brno and be amongst the TOP 8 teams. Young blood mixed with experienced players will give us everything we need to achieve victory – commitment, assiduity, skill and physicality.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
Kacper Skura – Young player, but already with great international experience. His precise sweeper shot, powerful slapshot and speed are going to be tough to defend.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
Michal Sienko – Michał is not only a fast and tough to come through defender, but also a useful player in offense. His game vision and awesome technique are as important as his defensive values.
Who is your toughest player and why?
Mateusz Turwon – If you meet him face to face on the field, it’s better to give up before contact. His great physicality and steadfast character are going to mess a lot. A face-off with him will be one of your worst memories. Great reflex and physical strength makes him our face-off champion also.
