The 14th Men’s World Floorball Championships will be played in Zurich & Winterthur, Switzerland from 5th – 13th November 2022. Finland, Switzerland, Norway and Slovakia are playing in Group A.
Finland
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2022?
The Blue-White team is ready to take back the World Ranking number 1 and polish the silver position back to golden one. Two previous WFC’s in Switzerland have not been glory ones for Team Finland but trend is promising, 2004 bronze, 2012 silver, 2022 … – great mixture of experience, six debutants, winning mentality and Finnish Sisu.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
Ville Lastikka
Sensational season in domestic F-liiga by winning the score board with sovereignty. One of the dynamic forwards in the world who has outstanding passing and scoring skills.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
Janne Lamminen
Playing always with all-in attitude. Does not hesitate to take contact, both verbally and physically. Usually not the most wanted opponent amongst the opposing teams’ players.
Who is your toughest player and why?
Eemeli Salin
Big and physical power forward. Very good at one-on-one situations. Despite his size he moves very well and has a great shot by playing right handed.
Who is your face-off champion?
Nico Salo, the Blue-White captain – real gentleman who has extraordinary game vision and brilliant eye & hand co-ordination.
Switzerland
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2022?
We want to be a team that takes responsibility for our own performance. We are at the WFC to earn success and show a lot of accountability. On court we want to be an aggressively playing team with a lot of emotions.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
Manuel Maurer
Because he is so difficult to defend, having skills in all areas. Good at creating his own counter attack chances and also hard to control in front of the net.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
We defend by commity. I expect all of our field players – regardless of position – to defend with pride.
Who is your toughest player and why?
Nicola Bischofberger is a very aggressive floorball player, totally relentless in his defensive game.
Who is your face-off champion?
…the one who will win the most face-offs in the WFC.
Norway
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2022?
It’s a team made up of a lot of routine mixed with young, hungry talent on the way forward. We will play a fast-paced, physical floorball. I believe and hope that we will be able to surprise even though we ended up in a very tough group with many really good teams. This team is built on the fact that it should be a hard-working collective that should work together for each other.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
Ketil Kronberg is our most dangerous attacker. He has an incredible routine. Ketil makes this WFC his 12th and will contribute with lots of skills in attack.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
Erlend Søfting Vestby is our strongest defender. He maintains a high minimum level in his game. He has good strengths both defensively and offensively.
Who is your toughest player and why?
Andreas Grønli is not the biggest player in physical terms but plays with the biggest heart for the team. He’s completely fearless in his physical work in the defensive zone, this makes him our toughest player.
Who is your face-off champion?
Daniel Gidske, our captain, is our face-off champion. Daniel wins 9 out of 10 face-offs. He’s smart in those situations and reads opponent’s technique very well.
Slovakia
Describe your team, and what should we expect from your team during WFC 2022?
Our team is young by the age but more experienced compared to previous WFCs defined by strong team-spirit and enormous desire to win. We can can expect active and attractive floorball from this team, which fears no opponent and will never give up till the end.

Who is your most dangerous attacker and why?
Definitely Michal Dudovic. In short, he is like Lionel Messi in Floorball.
Who is your strongest defender and why?
Michal Pažák. One of the most experienced players with great insight into the game.
Who is your toughest player and why?
Toughest player is definitely Kristian Kozak. I think that players don’t want to tackle with him in corners.
