Floorball continues to grow in China. On December 21, 2021, the Sports Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region held an event for the “Floorball Launch Ceremony” at Tongshun Street Primary School, Yuquan District, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
— In order to enrich the after-school sports activities of students in the compulsory education stage, Sports Bureau of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region took floorball as a pilot promotion project, and selected 5 primary and secondary schools as the first batch of pilot schools to gradually promote the popularization and development of floorball in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. This time, Sports Bureau of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region donated the full set of equipments to the floorball team of each of the 5 pilot schools. The Hockey Institute of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will provide strong support for the subsequent training of coaches and referees for these schools, says Mr Yue Liya, secretary-general of the Hockey Institute of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The following five schools were chosen for this pilot project:
- Hohhot Hui Middle School
- Yuquan District Ethnic Primary School
- Tongshun Primary School, Yuquan District
- Xiaoheihe campus of Wutasi East Primary School Education Group, Yuquan District
- Baotou Jiuyuan District Ethnic Primary School
It was an important milestone to bring floorball also to this region and the ceremony was joined by several officials who made this project work:

- Mr Jin Mancang, (Party Secretary and Director of Sports Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region)
- Mr Li Zhiyou, (Party Group Member and Deputy Director of Sports Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region)
- Mr Shi Xiaoping, (Director of Youth Sports Division of Sports Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region)
- Mr Cai Tielei, (Party Secretary and Director of Sports Bureau of Hohhot)
- Mr Huang Yongsheng, (Inspector from the Education Bureau of Hohhot)
- Mr Yue Liya, general secretary of the Hockey Institute of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
- The mayor of Yuquan District, Hohhot
- The Party Secretary and Director of the Education Bureau of Yuquan District, Hohhot
