During autumn heading towards the two World Floorball Championships the service provider SportaPost and the IFF decided to join forces to facilitate the work of the IFF social media team and help create more compelling Instagram posts. As a large proportion of the floorball community uses Instagram to follow events the aim was to test using the large selection of easily customizable templates.
– During the World Championship tournaments there is a lot of content to post every day, and with exceptionally two events back-to-back, this was even more of a challenge. Having the opportunity to use templates, some of them tailor-made for the IFF, saves us a lot of time. This is highly valued in the hectic pace of the tournament, says Mari Myllärinen, Information Coordinator at the IFF.
SportaPost created two custom-made templates for the IFF, one for the new FairFloorball responsibility campaign and another basic template with IFF colours and fonts. During the tournament the IFF team also used some of existing templates in the app. There are hundreds of templates available which the user can choose from and adjust (colours, fonts, etc.).
– When we were presented the opportunity to work with the IFF, we didn’t hesitate for a second. Being part of the World Floorball Championships and the new FairFloorball responsibility campaign was truly an honor for us. As floorball is gaining in popularity and having already worked with multiple clubs and the Finnish F-liiga, we were thrilled to contribute our small part to the long awaited championships. Making sport organisations every day work with social media easier is our job and passion and hopefully we helped IFF during those hectic weeks, explains Mikael Kojo, CEO at SportaPost.
